Sadaqa
In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful
It's been sooooo long that i haven't posted anything yet.
But today, here I am...
In Shaa Allah
Today i wanna bring the topic that relates to our current condition where nowadays people are stingy for spending their money while it's related to the deen. Not only about charity but also about seeking knowledge as well.
Why do I say this?
Let’s check it out !
Nowadays, people are too easy to buy things that actually, they don't really need it in their lives such as new clothes, new bags, new wallets, new laptop, new handphone, etc. Tho, they already have such things and everything is okay, nothing to be replaced but still they buy it in the name of trend. 'Audzubillah...
Let's we do istighfar.
Astagfirullah hal'adzim
I am not talking like this to corner you but it's the reality even myself also do such things sometimes :(
Inalillahi
We buy things to satisfy our desires , to make us happy
That's not wrong, wrong is if we buy uneeded things too much till we forget that, our money is not fully ours, there is due of poor people in it.
And on their property there is a right for the poor who ask and the poor who do not get a share (Adz-Dzariyat : 19)
O you, who believe, spend /spend (in the way of Allah) part of the result of your good efforts and part of what We spend from the earth for you. (Al-Baqarah : 267)
Even we give them less from our wealth, but if we try to give them ikhlas and consistent, In Shaa Allah, it will not useless for them and indeed Allah is Ever-Seeing.
And dear all, we are also too stingy to spend our money for buying books, paying private course that will enhance our recitation like tahsin, or etc that it will In Sha Allah enhance our knowledges of the deen.
We are too excited to spend our money to buy fiction books, watching cinema, karaoke, or many things that actually it has less good impact in our lives. It is better if we spend our money to buy book that related to islam like sirah nabawiyah, the story of ummahatul mukminin, or story of the companions of Rasulullah and many things more.
I think, it is more valueable rather than we spend money just for useless things. With islamic books, we can add our knowledges about islam and we can share it to the people whom we love like our parents, relatives, sisters, brothers, friends or even to our future sons and daughters In Sha Allah. And imagine that if we share it, we are not just getting reward from Allah but also we safe them with the knowledges that we have. Example, you share about the Mercy of Allah to your friend in the case that you don’t know that she is now depressed and even hate her life, but after she took heed from your speech, she tries her best to believe in Allah again, to trust His decree again. Doesn’t it beautiful?
Come back again to the topic,
I don't say that it's wrong to spend money to make us happy like to use it for hang out with friends, etc but the problem is if we use it too much and we don’t really need it at that time. What a waste!
Let's we spend our money to buy things that will make Allah, our parents, relatives, neighbor, and friends are happy like buy them food, buy them clothes, or ask them to travel in somewhere that all we do is should be intended for Allah's cause only and to bond the solidarity between our muslim brothers and sisters and to our own family members. I am sure that there is goodness there, if we use our money in the cause of Allah.
We will make our people around us happy, and if we do charity means we help them out to reduce hunger, and the most important thing is It will make Allah even more pleased with us. Aamiin
Remember always that charity or sadaqah is like water that extinguish fire. Ma Sha Allah.
The apostle said "Save yourselves from hell even though by giving half of dates" the Prophet said that water extinguishes fire and everyone will rise under the auspices of alms on the Day of Judgment. (Al Ithaf)
May we be able to spend our money properly and may we be the person who is not spending money too much for useless things. Aamiin
